I have always loved music videos. Maybe because it often adds another dimension to a song that otherwise, might not be imagined.
Doing the video for BB was a great experience, much in part to the wonderful director and producer that I was so blessed to work with April Dace and Steve Weaver from Revolution Pictures. They are so wonderfully creative and just the salt of the earth.
Thanks also to my folks that help me so much: Reba Baskett, (webmaster and photography) Michelle McNeil (production and personal assistance),Linda Wornell (for watching after my angels during the shoot) Also big thanks to Neil Robison (hair and make up) Heather Robinson (Stylist) and Jen Bates for beautiful photos and the rest of the camera crew.
As most videos go.. the sunny forecast was thwarted by unexpected rain.. great when your shoot is outdoors.. but strangely enough, overcast is sometimes the very best conditions for shooting outside.
My two girls, Olivia and Savannah make their acting debut, donned in wings and white cotton dresses. The shoot was worth doing for nothing else than seeing them in some of the pictures taken on the set. They were such troopers.. acting in the cold and mist in sundresses and not complaining too much.. except, I’m told (i didn’t hear it myself) my oldest daughter Olivia (7) stated at the end of her portion of shooting the video.
“I’m out of here”! Yes, that is my diva child.
The video,we hope captures the freedom we have as children.. we are free to live and experience things we never have.. feeling fully taken care of and loved... somewhere along the way, we all, almost without exception, get broken.. afraid to fly.
The song was written about a bird that was caught in our house that we set free...
I hope this video calls to place within you that is broken and afraid to step out...
to take a step and trust that God will lift above your pain to help you soar as the beautiful creature he created you to be....
