Please forgive me for my lack of blogging.

It has been a crazy few weeks, mainly because we have just arrived in Canada for our summer stay here and the week before the trip we make every year is always, absolutely, unquestionably INSANE. God is good, I know, because somehow He carried us through it.

So we are here in our yellow farm house on the hill. The breeze is blowing the birds are singing, we had breakfast out in the sunshine and I cannot tell you how happy I am to be somewhere that allows me to work less and spend more time with my girls and Sigmund.I get to actually prepare decent meals, water my flowers, read a book (reading secret life of bees again.. Love that book!!!) and feel like a real human being again.

Simple pleasures are without a doubt the best things of all.. can I get an amen?

Hi there,

We are so happy to be home from our short road trip/ mini vacation to the morgan family reunion.. it was nestled in the mountains of the pine mountain state park. kids, cousins, aunts uncles, photo albums and lots of good food. I am so glad we were able to attend and connect with all the crazy( crazy, in a good way) morgans from all over.

From there, we headed to knoxville to celebrate a very important birthday of one my dearest friends in knoxville tn, visited my old church in knoxville.. park west church of God.. a wonderful church. I am so proud of them and all they keep doing in that community.

Then, we were off to Chatanooga for a trip to the aquarium( and of course always found a hotel with a pool for the girls) then onto Atlanta to In Touch ministries ( I love Charles stanley, can I get a witness?) to do the everyday show with Marcus and Lisa on Family net than back home last night...whew.... I need a vacation for the family vacation.

Thank you so much for you kind words of congrats for my birthday..it was a wonderful day full of friends, frappuccinos, lunch in downtown franklin, the pool with my kiddies and my dear friend lesley then on to dinner with some more good friends.

At the end of the day, like many mothers and fathers I went to my girls bedside, kneeled beside them and thanked God for the rich blessings they are to my life and thanked God for how many wonderful people I am blessed to call friends and to have such a wonderful man for a husband.

Life can be so hard.... as I have witnessed from the events of my dear friend's loss this week. I thank you for your prayers for her.

I hope to never, ever see anything as sad as what I saw in her eyes. I was amazed that in the midst of such pain her faith was still standing.... the peace that passes all understanding at work in her life.

It is hard that life just rolls on, we stop for a moment and cry then we keep going.

I guess that knowing that our lives have a greater purpose and all the mysteries will be revealed one day... maybe that is what keeps us going through the very hard days.

I am so glad that we have a savior. that we have someone to lean on in the darkness.. maybe we never are in darkness, maybe it just feels like it.

This morning I was lying on the couch with my daughter Savannah underneath her Dora blanket. Looking into her blue eyes I felt so blessed to be here to be her mom.

I am attending the funeral of a friend who lost her baby. I dread it. I don't know what I will say to her, I just know that I have to be there. Please pray for her today that God will carry her through and give her peace.

Please pray that I can be His hands and feet.
