God is good.

Hi friends. Hope this finds you well. I am still in the midst of doing lots of traveling, getting ready for the girls to go back to school and remodeling/redecorating our home here in Canada. I ask you...will it ever be over!!!!! soon, i hope.

on to more important, oh so much more important things...( than re-decorating)

I want to share a little about the impact that the bible study I have been doing is making on me... in hopes that if you need some lifting up.. some reminding of God... that He is who he says He is and that You are who He says you are.

Believing God by Beth Moore... there is a book and a full on bible study.
Both revolve around a 5 point mantra

• God is who He says He is
• God can do what He says He can do
• I am who God says I am
• I can do all things through Christ
• God's word is alive and active in me.

She goes through scripture and explains all of these things... how the scriptures paint a picture of God.. that He is still in the business of miracles...that He is always at work in us... Biggie... the power of reading your bible.... the power of God's Word.

I find Beth to be one of the most genuine and powerful speakers I have heard and what I find the most refreshing and inspiring about her is that she is truly in love with Gods Holy Word and the change that it can make in your life.

It seems that Logic can often stand in the way of true faith... but I do believe that it is logical to look back on life and see how God has been faithful. No doubt life brings heartache, but all the more reason to reach out to a power that is greater than ourselves, for answers that we cannot give ourselves. Reading the Bible... listening to it on cd...
it has made such a difference in my life....

I did this study almost 4 years ago now, and I STILL say the 5 statements in the mirror each morning. There is just something that happens in my spirit when I say "God can do what He says He can do" that one gets me everytime! Especially now in this season of waiting.

I can testify to that!!!

My mentor and I were speaking yesterday about these points. My mentor reminded me that there is powerin the blood of Jesus, and as His redeemed we can and should claim that in the face of the enemy. That blood changed everything for us.
