God is good.
I must say that september, maybe of any month of the year is my favorite. I would guess it would be the favorite of many people... mainly because it seems to combine the best of every season.. a slight chill in the air, warm sun, no breeze, clear skies.
Last night Sigmund and the girls and I walk the path through what our neighbors and we have named the friendship gate. We live in the country, most people here have a few acres to roam around on and we are very fortunate to have good friends that live on both sides of us.
We walked through a winding path that led to a meadow where our neighbor's horses roam. A perfect night, our two chocolate labs Hershey and Cocoa were with us.. so idyllic, so lovely.. then on the way back it was pitch dark and Sigmund did what all dad's do.. acting as if there was a bear in the bush or flying snakes dropping out of the trees.. by the time we got home the girls were giggling and terrified all at the same time.. a great memory. I think those moments in life are so rare, kind of like September days... they are here for just a while... then.. the winter.
I want to drink them in.. till every drop is gone, then pray that God will send more moments like that
God is good... Drink it up.

Hi there-
God is good.
I am finally getting caught up back here in Canada but still having good memories of my recent trip to nashville.... the end of the week for me culminated in being a part of a grand opening of a new church right outside of Murfreesboro, TN. The people there were so fun and I was greeted by two of the sweetest people. They told me that they were there all those years ago when I first won Dolly Parton's big talent contest called the national mountain music festival.... they were so sweet and kind.. how fun to see them after all these years!!!!
God is good:-)

I have just returned from nashville from a week of writing and a couple concerts thrown in.
The Sarah Conley Benefit was so great. I am so amazed by her and her strength of faith and that girl can sing!!! God is so good. Miracles do still happen. She is doing so great.
Andrew Greer and Sarah Beth both rocked it out. Loved hearing them and then a fun surprise at the end of the night...we looked out into the audience and who did we see????? None other than Ms Ginny Owens. We made her come up and do a song, she sang my all time favorite.. "If you want me to". Made us all cry. It was an awesome.
God is good.. so very Good.
More soon...
Blessings,
Cindy

Hi there,
Well, it was a crazy few days of rehearsing but it all turned out so well.. we had an awesome time, God sent us the most amazing weather( lots of answered prayers on that front) at the house/deck party... about 100 people came and sat under the stars and a cozy blanket. had some laughs and made some music....... fun, fun and more fun:-)
As for the rest of the visits from the Nashvillians....we ate, we talked about politics, religion, philosophy , took long walks, put together puzzles, skipped rocks and played monopoly. The simple things are the grandest of all. We drove back to Calgary airport this morning and I gave my friends hugs good bye... You know, there are a few treasures as wonderful as good friends.
I am so glad they came and I am so thankful for them in my life.... Lauri, Stephen and Jeremey..I love you guys:-)
Hug a friend today.
God is good.

Hi All...
Yesterday was a great day... we picked our friends at the Calgary Airport and headed to beautiful Banff.... we dined and had afternoon tea in the banff springs hotel, saw the enormous waterfalls, had an elk family sighting and took a Gondola ride to the top of the Canadian Rockies ( where lauri and I prayed continuously that the cable wouldn't SNAP. Beautiful view but I don't think I could do it again:-)
Here is a photo of us standing in front of the Canadian Rockies... come to Canada!!! it's so beautiful:-)
God is good.
Blessings,
Cindy
