It is the end of the day and me, like most working mothers, when you come home, you straighten the house run a bath for the kids, bring in the mail, put clothes in the laundry, dishes in the dishwasher, think about how much you got done and of course, all that you didn't. My daughter Olivia just came up behind me in a towel, fresh from the bubbles and gave me a little hug. Life never feels finished but it feels that it is running away from you. That your kids are growing up before you can catch up. I think the hardest word to learn is "no".. the hardest phrase is, "No, I don't think I have time to do that". Priorities. I am struggling with that. Please pray for me that I make the right choices. I will pray for you too. Prayer requests? I have never thought to open the floor for that but I would love for there to be a place here that you can voice prayer requests. Only if you want. Where two or three are gathered together, right? I do have a prayer request. First I want to praise my Maker. He works all things for good. He quiets my heart and comforts my tears.
My request is simple and honestly seems very small among these other two requests above mine. I need a job. I am assured that God will provide in some way in the meantime. My prayer, though, is for direction and assistance in this search. Sure, prayer for a job is wonderful too but my dilemma through the years after graduating college is "what now?" I've waited tables, answered phones, cared for children, given voice and piano lessons, handles business accounts...nothing longterm. Always I end up moving on to something different, just to pay the bills. I'm 29, single, and living with my grandparents. These are all honorable; I do not resent any of them at this point. But I would like to establish a home and family for myself. So if you would, Cindy and readers, please pray that God would direct my heart to a career or path that would please Him. If I have to bumble around for a few more years, so be it. It's just getting a little tiresome and lonely. Thanks.  1 report abuse

Hi Cindy...please pray for me and my family. Mike will be leaving for Iraq on January 2nd and he is already doing training. He will be gone 21 days in June. This will be a difficult time in our lives and every pray is totally appreciated.

while you are taking prayer requests, i wouldn't mind going ahead and voicing one. if you think about it, please pray for my uncle. he has been in and out of drug rehab for the past couple of years. he has a 12-year-old daughter whom he never gets to see because of his condition. pray that she will survive her teenage years while keeping her innocence intact. at times i am very afraid that we will get a phone call saying he is dead. please pray that he can finally find strength in God to turn his addictions over. he is a Christian but he is so far off track. his name is mike and his daughter's name is morgan. also his ex-wife is going through some hard times w/ depression. they have been so good to him.
